Gems, Jewels & More
Artistry by Amari Magdalena

Amari Magdalena is the creator of a unique line of Jewelry with Wise woman medicine known as MedicineWare™. She has long been inspired by healing properties of mineral and semi-precious gemstones. Amari created her line of jewelry as an offshoot of a ministry devoted to peacemaking. Magdalena crafts one-of-a-kind pieces ranging from small 14" joker style to 25” and more with matching earrings. She also offers separate earrings, bracelets and gemstone watches.

Each piece has precious and semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystals along with a pendant made of gemstones, shells, stones and/or fired glass. A descriptive card comes with each necklace set that expresses the unique properties of ‘good medicine’ to the owner. Findings are sterling silver. gold fill or copper. Many of the necklaces are 18" with a particular purpose. At that length, the pendant rests over the Thymus which regulates the immune system and is also considered the Heart Chakra area.

Other ceremonial art that Amari has crafted includes large Medicine Shields, Mandellas, Rainbow Catchers, Sun Catchers and Medicine Bags.

Amari is also a photographer specializing in flowers, ruins and Southwestern topography. She has for many years produced creating cards with her photography. Magdalena likes to photograph from a micro, rather than macro, perspective to accomplish the feel of ‘being’ the subject she is capturing.

MedicineWare™ has been shown at Xanadu Gallery's On-Line Store in Scottsdale, AZ, The Sedona Independent Artists Shows, Girls Inc. Annual Fine Arts Show in Santa Fe, Archetype Art Gallery The Inn At Sunrise Springs in La Cienega, Albuquerque Newcomer’s Spring Fashion Show at Four Hills Country Club, Tijeras Open Air Arts Market, Fuller Lodge Fall Arts Show, Sanjevani Health & Lifestyle Center, El Dorado Spring Fine Arts Show, Prescott Chamber of Commerce Fallfest Arts Show, Mountain Artists Guild Shows, Prescott Art Association’s Holiday Show, Unity Women’s Holiday Art & Craft Fair, Grayleaf Galleria, Big Brothers and Sisters Flair-A-Fair in Tucson; Tucson Arts and Crafts Association Spirit of Giving Show, Affairs of the Art Gallery, Blue Mesquite Gallery in Tubac Arizona, and seasonal Trunk Shows. Some customers wonder why these pieces may cost more than things they believe to be comparable. In comparison frequently consumers may not be looking at the finer details. Many lesser expensive necklaces have what are described as 'lobster claw' closures. These closures even in Sterling Silver cost less than $1.00. Medicineware closures are all upper end for durability and beauty. Our wholesale cost on the closure alone may be $25 or more.

Then there are the gemstones. There is a wide variety of what are labeled gemstones out in the market place even at gem shows like the huge annual one in Tucson. There are "A" grade gemstones and semi-precious stones and every grade below. Even Michael's Craft Stores are now carrying what may be labeled 'gemstones.' On closer inspection one may observe stones that have been treated, stabilized, colorized and perhaps with non-consistent stone sizes. At gem shows often outside vendors are offering 'seconds.' These are irregular stones with some of the previous not so desirable qualities.

Medicineware prides itself on offering you high quality gemstones and semi-precious stones and high grade findings that you will not find everywhere. Additionally our one-of-a-kind timeless designs always set you apart.

Why pay more? Because we're worth it and so are you!
